4 Questions, 4 Answers

Hi everybody, lately I have been talking a lot about my career and that stuff. I think that you should be really fed up, so I'm gonna return to older posts and strat to talk about various topics again. So, what a batter idea than starting a blog about 4 topics and my opinion of those. Well let's begin.

Pets at home:

Well, since I was a child I have wanted to have pets. I think that is awesome to have pets in your home. But is important to know that like any being, they have needs, so you must feed them, care of them, clean them, and the most important give them all the love you can give. Also is important that if you want to have a pet, you must keep informed about the animal and their cares. In the end bring a pet to your home is incorporate a new member to the family.

Cloning:

That is a really interesting topic, because is one the things that have most drawn attention of the human race. I think that is very difficult to say that if it is or not a good, beacuse the different nuance of this practice. In my opinion I think that the study of clonation is important to discover new information about the celular functioning, helping to the fight of diferrent disseases that today don't have cure. Maybe in the future it will can be regulated, avoiding bad practices in this complex field.

Legalization of different drugs:

This is a very controvertial topic, but I think that is imortant to discuss about it. In my opinion, drugs like marijuana, must be legalized. I think that legalization will mean an end to the black market, also a regularization to the products that are sold, like quality, drecreasing the probability of damage to the consumers, and prices. All those things, I think, are the most effective fight against the drug trafficking.

About other drugs, I think that is more complicated the discussion about their legalization. For example, phychedelic drug, like LSD, according to diverse studies, are harmless than drgus that now legalizated, but can be harmful to a certain group of people. So if those drugs are lagalized, they must have a ragularization more exhaustive, especially because this kind of drugs are very important to the study of mental diseases, and, at the same time, his effects are very unknown, due to how complicated is to study them for being ilegal.

The chilean education:

In this part I'm gonna talk about the protests about chilean education.

Today chilean education is on crisis. There are a lot of lacks that until today are not solved. The students are tired of promises of things that never come, and the goverment is fighting agains their protests. I'm goinna tell you a personal example. The years before I entered to the university, I went to a school that was very participative in the social movements that help to improve the chilean education. But today any movement or protest by the students of my school is hardly repressed by force by the police. Tht's how any person inside the school suffers the repression, is or not protesting. In this way the goverment shut up the petitions and doen't solve anything.

Well, I think that I have altered a little haha. Well I have written very much, so I leave this blog here for today, see you soon.

After my career

Hi friends, this blog will be quite similar to the last blog. Maybe you are thinking that I'm going to talk about my career like many of my blogs. Well... you're right and at the same time you're wrong. how? Well, In spite of Chemistry and pharmacy is very interesting to study, I think that is not the only "thing" that I will study in my life. How I said before I like very much the health area, so anything that I can study I will study. All that to have as much knowledge as possible and be a great professional in the area that I work. So I'm not going to talk about my career in the present, I'm going to talk about my future studies after my career.

If someday I finish my studies, I would like to take a postgraduate. Probably I would take it here, in Chile, in the University of Chile.

The  postgraduate I would like to take is a Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences. What is done here? Well, this is a program that is oriented to the teaching of  analytical and clinical pharmaceutical. Although this is more oriented to analytical part.  So this program is more with the purpose of work on pharmaceutical products, just the thing that I want. Also This consists in attending classes, so I would have to go directly to the University. It is very awesome!

After that I won't do a PhD. Because is not necessary for the kind of job that I would like to do, but maybe in the future I change my mind and finally do three PhD.

Well, this is all for today, I hope that this blog had help you even a little bit to think in your studies now and after your career,  after all all that will be your base as a professional.

Life in Labs

Hi my dear fans, I'm bringing you another blog. Today I'm going to talk about a theme that is very important to me, my career and the job that I would like to do.
Well... since I was a teenager I always have had the dream of working in the health area, maybe caring for people, giving them medicament, or making the medicament. Today I'm studying Chemistry and Pharmacy at the university, so I had an idea that what I want to work on. In the future I would like to work in a pharmaceutical laboratory. In this kind of job there are varieties like researcher or supervisor. But I want to dedicate myself to the investigation of new medicines that help to treat different diseases that today don't have cure.
In this job we pass the most part of the time in a laboratory, but it doesn't care because I will have all my attention in the creation and the study of the drugs.

The salary in this job is very good, we can get about $1641.5 a month. Well, this is an approximately number because it varies according the laboratory or the country.

Today I'm in the first year of the career, I don't have fished it yet. But when I finished it, I will do a postgraduate, to has most knowledge and most possibilities to get a job. Maybe when finished all, I would like to leave the country and go to work abroad. I'm just thinking, but it would be really awesome!!!

Lateralus

One of my favourites bands ever is Tool, an American metal band formed in 1990, and that is one of the most influential in the actual era. Tool has released five studio albums, but Today I'm going to talk about the best of these albums created by this band, "Lateralus". Maybe you are asking why is this album so good?

One of the things that differentiate this album form others is his composition.

Tool used the concept of the Fibonacci sequence to create "Lateralus". If you didn't know Fibonacci sequence is a sequence that begins in 1 and 2 and the following numbers are defined by the sum of the two previous. Basically is this: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13, etc. This sequence is the base of all of our world, we can see it in flowers, snails, etc. So this band took this sequence and created its album. For example there are many songs that its lyrics follow this pattern like the song "Lateralus", or the percution is in such way that also follow the sequence.

Well, this is not the only thing that we can see in this album. For example while ago some fans discovered that can rearrange the order of the tracks on the album into a similarly shaped sequence. The key to the order was placing track 13 in the middle and arranging the other tracks in additive pairs on either side. The songs  are said to match up with each other in a more sensible way, and makes for the “proper” order.

Of course not only that mathematical things make this album so great. Also its innovation, for example, drummer Danny Carey sampled himself breathing through a tube to simulate the chanting of Buddhist monks fo "Parabol", and banged piano strings for samples on "Reflection".

Well, I could keep talking about this phenomenal album, but I think that is better that you listen it to discover it. See you next blog, bye.

Chemistry and Pharmacy

Hi readers, today I'm going to talk about a very special career to me. If  you are new in my blog and didn't read my older posts, let me tell you that I study Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Chile. Maybe you are wondering why I chose this career. W
ell, the truth is that only I'm doing it for the money... I'm just kidding, although it is true that this profession is well paid, but is not the only good thing that made me chose it.

First I can say that since I was a kid I like sciences, also there were TV shows and movies that made me love the chemistry, like Breaking Bad. So in this way I was entering in this new world of Chemistry and Pharmacy.

Chemistry and Pharmacy is a very important career that is dedicated to the health area, in general. Is due of that there are many options to choose to work. A pharmacist can work in a clinic or hospital participating in schedules for the correct use of drugs in certain patients, pharmacovigilance (the surveillance of the drugs that are distributed in the clinic or hospital), and handle toxicological situations. Also, a pharmacist can work in pharmaceutical or cosmetic laboratories, investigating new drugs or regulating the develop of medicaments. Well there are more works that a pharmacist can perform, but there are so many. In fact this profession has an employability of 97.7% first year.

So, money and employability are important things to consider to take a profession. But especially that you love the career.

Well, to finalise, I will say that whatever you choose how career, don't choose Chemistry and Pharmacy, so I don't have to compete with you. It's a joke if you are interested come and join us.

The country of dreams

Hi friends, I came back to this blog, after a while. I took a short vacation to relax. But, anyways, today I'm going to talk you about the country I would like to visit.

Well, since I have memory France has been a really insteresting contry to me. Always I have liked its culture, architecture, and its beauty in general. I have seen France in movies and books. Also I have friends that have visited this country and have talked to me a lot of it, so thanks of that things my curiosity have been grown up, making me dream with someday visiting this beautiful contry.

The things that I know of France is that it's a country located in Europe and its capital is Paris, the "city of lights". French food is one of the most important of the world. Through the history, France has been a country dedicated to arts.  The arts have been very important in this country, for example there is one of the most famous museums dedicated to that, the Louvre. Its architecture, also is impressing, one of the most famous in the world is the Eiffel Tower, located in Paris. And finally, its geography, having the French alps or lavender fields in Provenza, for example.

If someday I go there, I would like to visit the most possible places, starting with Paris, visiting the most famous places, like the Louvre, Eiffel tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Notre-Dame
. Then visit other cities like Versailles, Lyon and Marseille.

I would like to live in this amazing country and learn a lot of this beautiful country, I don't think that I can someday cost it, but who knows...
